What's the difference between an update and an upgrade?

A software update allows you to begin using the most recent version of 123Pet. A software upgrade expands what features are available in your current version of 123Pet. An example of a software update would be going from Version 8 to Version 9. If you then decide you need the software on multiple computers, you could upgrade from the Professional edition to the Multi-Computer edition.

Ready to install the update?

You can download and install the update to get started using all the great new features. This will only take a couple of minutes, and you just have to follow a few quick steps.

  1. Make a backup of your database in the current version of 123Pet. Go to the File menu and select Backup Database to do this.
  2. Download the update file and save it to your computer.
  3. Once the update file is saved, run the file. Follow the prompts to install the software.
  4. Start 123Pet once the installation is complete. Your database should be updated automatically to the newer version.

When you purchased the software, you should have received an invoice via postal mail and e-mail. Your serial number will be contained within this invoice, as well as on a white sticker that came with the software CD.
